Abstract: The first galaxies are of particular interest thanks to the successful operation of the James Webb Space Telescope. The formation of the first galaxies is thought to be influenced by complex feedback of Population III stars, and therefore it is essential to understand their properties. I investigated the formation of Population III stars in the presence of X-ray radiation which can travel vast distances even before the epoch of reionization. I will discuss how an X-ray background influences the condition for Pop III star formation and their initial mass function. Finally, I will discuss the potential observational signatures and implications of these effects.
