Abstract: X-ray observations play a crucial role in understanding the most energetic phenomena in the universe, particularly the mergers of galaxy clusters. Finner et al. (2021) presented an X-ray and weak-lensing analysis of two exemplary merging galaxy clusters—MACS J1752.0+4440 (z=0.365) and ZWCL 1856.8+6616 (z=0.304)—both featuring double radio relics. However, the shallow X-ray observations available at that time limited the in-depth analysis. In this talk, I will introduce cluster X-ray astronomy and demonstrate how deeper X-ray observations, combined with gravitational lensing and radio data, provide unique insights into these exemplary clusters.
